  GOING ON VACATION?
    Follow these safety tips to keep you and your home safe.

  •  MAKE YOUR HOME LOOK OCCUPIED
    Leave some lights and a radio on when you are out.
  •  LOCK YOUR DOORS
    Never leave your house open; even for "just a moment."  Lock up!           
  •  USE DEADBOLT LOCKS
    A deadbolt lock is a good deterrent to burglars.
  •  DON'T HIDE A KEY OUTSIDE
    Burglars know all the secret hiding places.
  •  DRILL AND PIN YOUR WINDOWS
    Window locks can be jimmied; pins cannot.
  •  BRACE ANY SLIDING DOORS
    Brace any sliding door.  Burglar will have to break it to get in.
  •  INSTALL GOOD EXTERIOR LIGHTING
    Motion sensor lights do not allow a burglar to hide in the dark.
  •  KEEP BUSHES AND SHRUBS TRIMMED
    Eliminate any potential hiding place for a burglar.
  •  STOP MAIL AND PAPER DELIVERIES
    Stop all deliveries or have a neighbor collect your mail.
  •  INSTALL AN ALARM SYSTEM
    Houses with alarms are avoided by burglars.
WALKING OUT ON THE STREETS?  
           Follow these tips to keep you safe.

  •  ALWAYS BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS
  •  CARRY YOUR PURSE OUT IN FRONT OF YOU
  •  AVOID WALKING BY YOURSELF
  •  STAY OUT OF DARK, ISOLATED AREAS
  •  DO NOT GET INTO ANY VEHICLE UNLESS YOU KNOW   
    THAT PERSON
  •  HAVE A CELL PHONE ON YOU (NOT IN PURSE) IN CASE
    TROUBLE ARISES
AUTOMOBILE SAFETY
