May 19 - The Friends of the Tacony Library are holding a Used Book and Outdoor Flea Market from 9:30am -
3pm. Spaces are $10 each. Rain date will be June 2, 2012. The library is located at 6742 Torresdale Ave (at

June 12 - Holmesburg Civic Association will have their monthly meeting at 7:15pm at the Holmesburg
Recreation Center; located at Rhawn and Ditman streets (one block west of New Foundations Charter School).
June 23 - Tacony Civic Association will host a Flea Market in Disston Park from 8am - 2pm. The location of
the park is 6900 Keystone Street (between Longshore & Disston St). There is a $10 fee for each space.
Snacks, beverages and restroom facilities will be available onsite. For more information, please call

June 28 - The first concert in the 2012 Tacony Summer Concert Series. "Philly Fun Timers"; along with "The
Suitcases" will be performing. The concert is at the Disston Recreation Center and begins at 6:30pm.
Refreshments and restrooms will be available. Bring the family and a beach chair and enjoy the free
entertainment.
July 12 - The second concert in the 2012 Tacony Summer Concert Series. "Charlie Gracie"; along with
"Tacony Noise" will be performing. The concert is at the Disston Recreation Center and begins at 6:30pm.
Refreshments and restrooms will be available. Bring the family and a beach chair and enjoy the free
entertainment.
July 26 - The third concert in the 2012 Tacony Summer Concert Series. "The Hooligans"; along with "Civic
Minded Fools" will be performing. The concert is at the Disston Recreation Center and begins at 6:30pm.

entertainment.
August 9 - The fourth concert in the 2012 Tacony Summer Concert Series. "Hoppin' John Orchestra"; along
with "Huge Jackman" will be performing. The concert is at the Disston Recreation Center and begins at 6:30pm.

August 23 - The fifth and last concert in the 2012 Tacony Summer Concert Series. "LeCompt"; along with "OK
Chief" will be performing. The concert is at the Disston Recreation Center and begins at 6:30pm. Refreshments
